BILL GRIBBLE

Oil and Acrylic

Bill Gribble has lived and worked in North Wales for many years. He was inspired by an Aunt when very young to develop and take part in creative and artistic activities.

By the age of sixteen, he was a founder member of the Midlands Art Centre (MAC) in Birmingham, England. Whilst there, he was employed by John Blundall, international puppet master and sculptor for the childrenʼs television programmes Thunderbirds, Stingray and Pob.

Bill undertook a three year teaching course in fine art at Alsager (Manchester Metropolitan University) progressing into a teaching career in Art, Craft and Design.

Bill is now an author as well as an artist. He has successfully exhibited and sold his work at home and internationally for many years and is inspired by other artists, events and the environment. He records what interests him through drawing, sculpting and painting, working primarily from his studio in Llandudno.

Although he is currently best known for attempting to capture the power and light of the water around the Welsh coastline in oil paint, he also enjoys portraying all subjects of interest in a range of media.

He is always learning!
